Hollywood Hills

You can make your luxury home in the hills the perfect retreat.

Welcome to Hollywood Hills

Perched above the busy city, you can make your luxury home in the hills the perfect retreat

Like Beverly Hills, Hollywood Hills is famed for its relatively high volume of celebrities, their agents, and other industry professionals. Owners of Hollywood Hills luxury homes enjoy panoramic views, the latest amenities, and the steep roads that connect their grand estates. Hollywood Hills differs from some other Los Angeles neighborhoods in that it’s mostly residential. It’s a prestigious community that places a premium on privacy. Homeowners employ hedges and gates for maximum peace and quiet. Hollywood Hills luxury homes represent a pleasing swath of architectural styles, including Spanish Colonial Revival, Mediterranean, Bungalow, and Tudor Revival.

What to Love

  • Unparalleled view of Los Angeles
  • Quiet residential streets
  • Cycling, hiking, and recreational activities
  • Close enough to Westside Los Angeles

Local Lifestyle

The residential neighborhood of Hollywood Hills is surrounded by fun activities and places to explore. Because the hills are so steep, you might not be surprised that residents of Hollywood Hills like hiking. In addition to the aforementioned scenery, hikers enjoy local trails either in solitude or with company, whether human or canine. The more intrepid residents cycle the winding roads up and down throughout the hills area. A favorite route sees cyclists pedal to the top of the hills, then follow the iconic Mulholland Drive for miles (be sure to wear a helmet on such routes, and stay wary of passing cars).

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Ready to explore the restaurants, entertainment venues, and stores that surround Hollywood Hills? As a new local, you’ll be favorably impressed by what’s nearby.

Whether they shop for groceries in stores or get them delivered, people who live in Hollywood Hills like to go out to eat every so often. Because they live in a residential and sometimes exclusive neighborhood, however, basically all the best restaurants are out of walking distance.

Three restaurants in particular stand out. There’s Pace, the Laurel Canyon mainstay with upscale Italian food and wine. You can follow up a night out with breakfast or lunch at the Griddle Cafe, which serves traditional diner fare to whoever’s next in line. For a wider selection of restaurants, you can drive a bit further from the hills and see what’s on the menu elsewhere.

In terms of nightlife, you’d be hard-pressed to think of a form of mainstream entertainment unavailable to residents of Hollywood Hills. Take a gander at the Hollywood Bowl or The Roger Room for a classic Hollywood night out.

Things to Do

Hollywood Hills residents are a short drive or Uber ride away from some of the best entertainment in the world. The Sunset Strip and its litany of comedy clubs, music venues, and bars, is in West Hollywood, which borders Hollywood Hills to the south. While Hollywood Boulevard is somewhat touristy, it’s also a convenient place to shop for groceries, home supplies, and farmers market produce.

If you’ve got guests or a free afternoon, check out Griffith Park. Its thousands of acres let visitors take part in horseback riding, cycling, and hiking, plus the Griffith Observatory, which you can visit at night for telescopic views of the night sky. Geographically, Hollywood Hills has canyons in equal measure, and one of the most famous of these is Bronson Canyon. Perfect for a Sunday drive, you can meander through this canyon on car and marvel at your natural surroundings.
